[ 11goals ] - Interview with Cindy König (Sporting Braga)

1. What 3 things fascinate you about football?

- that it is a sport that is popular all over the world!

- the emotions that this sport can trigger.

- How many people you meet through this sport.

2. Do you have a role model and why?

- Related to football? Lukas Podolski. He fascinated me from a young age. His open and positive nature. And of course his style of play and especially his left hammer.

- Related to my private life? Yes, definitely my parents.

3. Your best football moment so far?

With the Werder women our first promotion to the Allianz Women's Bundesliga, but also the last matchday on which we won against 1. FC Köln and thus managed to stay in the league. These have been my personal best football moments so far.

4. What do you think is the key to being happy?

- I think you should appreciate the little things in life and enjoy the special moments in life when you just feel good. And treat other people the way you would like to be treated.

5. What motivates you or how do you motivate yourself?

- every day gives you the chance to get better. And I am a very ambitious person. I want to get better every day, even if it's just small steps.

6. What are your goals?

- Qualify for the Champions League (uwcl).

- but ultimately I just want to be happy in what I do.

7. What was the best decision in your football career?

Never give up.

8. What three things in your life are you most grateful for?

- my family

- My friends

- And of course: for your health!

9. Your life motto?

Whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes you happy!

Always believe.

10. If you could change one thing in football: what would it be?

Clearly: Equality between men and women's football!!

11. Your life without football would be...

..definitely a totally different life. 😋 

But that will never happen, even if I no longer actively play football - football will always be a part of my life.
